• The OSYSU is used to monitor the open position of an OS&Y (outside screw and yoke) type gate valve. This device is available in two models; the OSYSU-1, containing one set of SPDT (Form C) contacts and the OSYSU-2, containing two sets of SPDT (Form C) contacts. These switches mount conveniently to most OS&Y valves ranging in size from 2” to 12” (50mm to 300mm). They will mount on some valves as small as ½” (12,5mm). The cover is held in place by two tamper resistant screws that require a special tool to remove. The tool is furnished with each device.
• The Model PCVS is a weather proof and tamper resistant switch for monitoring the open position of fire sprinkler control valves of the wall and yard post indicator and butterfly types. Two SPDT (Form C) contacts are provided which will operate when the valve position is altered from an open state. The unit mounts in a 1/2” NPT tapped hole in the post indicator or butterfly valve housing. The device is engaged by the indicating assembly of the post indicator or the operating mechanism of the butterfly valve, actuating switches when the valve is fully open. The unit should be installed where it is accessible for service. The cover is held in place by two tamper resistant screws that require a special tool to remove. The tool is furnished with each device.
• The Model PTS-C is designed to supervise sprinkler system control valves and may also be used to secure gates and other applications. This unit is particularly useful for unusual conditions, such as non-rising stem valves.
Nema 6P enclosure allows the device to be mounted outdoors, even in areas subject to flooding such as pits and wells. Sealed reed switch operation virtually eliminates contact corrosion.
Turning the valve wheel will pull the plug out of the receptacle. The plug cannot be reinserted after operation until the plug receptacle cover is removed with the special hex key provided. This key should be left with the building owner or responsible party. Replacement or additional cover tamper screws and hex keys are available.
• The OSYSU-CRH is used to monitor the open position of an OS&Y (outside screw and yoke) type gate valve in corrosive environments. The OSYSU-CRH provides additional corrosion protection on top of the NEMA 4X enclosure with corrosion resistant mounting hardware. These switches mount conveniently to most OS&Y valves ranging in size from 2" to 12" (50mm to 300mm). They will mount on some valves as small as ½" (12,5mm). The cover is held in place by two tamper resistant screws that require a special tool to remove. The tool is furnished with each device.
